All my pages go into full page and I have to click the top of the screen to get my tool bar. How can I open a new page without it being full page?

Location
Texas, where else?
Your Mac's Specs
15" MBP '06 2.33 C2D 4GB 10.7; 13" MBA '14 1.8 i7 8GB 10.11; 21" iMac '13 2.9 i5 8GB 10.11; 6S
It's called 'full screen'.

By default many apps open a new window in the same size/location on the screen you last had it open.
If you don't want them to open in full screen, then you need to exit full screen prior to closing them.

edit:
You can exit full screen by:
a) heading to the View menu and clicking on Exit Full Screen
b) press the 'esc' key

Thanks for this bobtomay. When I reduce the size of the full screen, it goes to a very small screen size of about 2"x3". How can I get it to go to a normal screen size with the normal tool bar at the top of the page?

????

Grab the side or corner of the window with the cursor and drag it to whatever size you want.
