First. May I suggest leaving the "Windows Thinking" behind when using Mac OS X.:) Mac OS X is not like Windows…and the file system is not the same.

Second. May I ask what your goal is? If we know what your goal is…we may be better able to make suggestions how to do it.:)

My purpose is to write a interactive code for someone doesn't know R to use the code to choose a appropriate dir and set it as the current work folder.
