Replacing combo drive

Hi Guys,

Im watching a G3 ibook on that auction site (not sure if im alowed to mention its name) and it has a faulty combo drive, are they easy to get hold of and are there any problems replacing the dvd/cdrw driveS?

You can find combo drives on ebay for pretty cheap.
There are 2 different kinds of drives for the ibooks.
I believe all G3 ibook used a tray loading drive, as were all the G4 ibooks used a slot loading drive.
Replacing them is a bit of work, there is a good guide for it on www.ifixit.com
