Need software to split video ( HELP)

You should be able to do that within iMovie but that might be overkill for this task. You can use QuickTime Pro to do this as well. Here's how to put QuickTime X in edit mode.
My program of choice for doing this type of editing is MPEG Streamclip. Although the headline on its site focuses on video conversion it has editing features as well. One thing to note is that when you have the beginning and end of a clip selected the shade of gray used to tell you something is selected can be difficult to distinguish. It's free give it a try.
