Hey all, I was having serious issues and finally decided to reinstall Yosemite after doing a full time machine backup. My question is, if I restore form hte time machine and include aps, won;t I reinstall any issues that I may have been experiencing, or should I go ahead and do the full restore now?

Two thoughts:

1. We don't know what those issues were…so it's hard to say.
2. If you really did have an issue that night be "restored" with a Time Machine backup. You could try choosing an older backup (before you got the problem).

I dont have an older backup, but do you think I would be better off only reinstalling data. The issue stems all the way back to a previous post where I continued getting the SBBOD. If there was an operating system issue, I do not want to reinstall it?

Beachball problems can be caused by a lot of things. We answer beach ball questions all the time…and many times they're not related to anything installed on the computer's storage. I'm speaking in generalities…since i still don't know your specifics.
