Hey guys,

haven't posted here in a while. I last posted like 2-3 years about a liquid damaged MBP 2010 I have. The LCD doesn't work, but I can use/visualize everything on an external monitor.

I'm pretty sure this is an LVDS problem. Right? I just want to know if that sounds right and if it I can get a go ahead on buying a LVDS cable and trying to replace it myself. Also, is that even worth it? Am I better off just selling it for parts?

Thanks! (I hope this is the right section to post this in)

Maybe…maybe not. Can you see ANYTHING on the MBP's display? Go into a darkened room…and shine a flashlight onto the MBP's display…and look at the display at an angle. Sometimes the illumination for the display is the problem…and not necessarily no video to the display.

Check the LVDS connector on the Logic Board for corrosion. If there is none and you checked the display like pigoo3 described, then its probably just the backlight fuse. Its a tiny light brown one with a white dot on it. You can bridge it with some solder.
