Flash player

I am new to Mac computers. I have an iMac and a Mac Pro. Am trying to get the most out of them.
When I go to certain sites or want to watch video, I get a message that says I need Flash Player installed. Is this a safe plug-in to use with Mac operating system?

Perfectly safe as long as you be sure and download it directly from Adobe and not some bogus site!

Thanks, I will check this out. How do I prevent the automatic updates on the Adobe products?

When you install you will be asked a question and there are 3 boxes you can click that say Never update, Ask before and Automatic I believe. Just watch for it and give it the correct answer.

I always tell it to remind me and not to do it automatically.
