How would I delete or uninstall Thunderbird? I have had nothing but problems with it. I also found out today that Cox doesn't support Thunderbird, which could probably be part of the problem. I was constantly losing messages. I'm going back to Apple Mail.

I'm using a Mac mini running Mavericks 10.9.5 (I think-I'm on a different computer right now.)

No doubt in the whole wide world you have found the problem. Go to the Mozilla TB web page for uninstall directions.

They told me to notify Mac and that he didn't know how to uninstall Thunderbird from a Mac computer. It figures. When I contacted Mozilla, all they did was point fingers at Cox and that it wasn't Thunderbird's issue. I'll contact them again. Maybe this time I'll get someone who knows something.

What if I just leave Thunderbird in the Applications folder. Will it cause any problems? I did have it configured it to open entering a password so it isn't active until I enter a password.

If I should decide to delete it, I would drag Thunderbird to Trash. But do I have to delete all those files from the library?

You can drag Thunderbird to the trash but that won't get rid of the many files it scatters in your user library. Just leave it alone. I have Thunderbird installed but only use its NNTP news reader not email. Also, if you're a user of Firefox, you may confuse and accidentally delete Mozilla files that are used by the browser. Best to leave things alone, Thunderbird and files do not take up much hard drive space and will not interfere with your other mail program.

Ok, I'll leave everything alone.

Thanks.
