CVMcompiler quit unexpectedly

Yes stupidly enough I've fiddled where I should not and don't even know how .. but I get a very stubborn warning "CVMcompiler quit unexpectedly".
What is it and can I repair it. It seems a plugin .. Google doesn't give a lot on it ..

All insight appreciated.
(I'm on OS 10.9.5)

When bobtomay mentioned restore from backup, he was talking about, restoring your system from a Time Machine Backup.
