Hello. I have a Macbook pro retina 13 "mid 2014. (Thinking of selling and buying the new 2015) - But that's not the issue.

I have often had my mac at 'best of the retina'. But always would like greater resolution - therefore I now got it to 1440x900.
My question is;

Will it affect my battery? Life and battery life?
Performance? Will my mac slower? It must use more power/energy to scale everything up?
Do I lose "retina"? Screen- and colour quality?

Are is there any cons to scale from 1280x800 to 1440x900? Or up to 1680x1050 if that was what you wanted?

Thanks!!

Regards Johnny

Resolution has nothing to do with performance or battery life. You should be OK except maybe for your eyesight. ;)
