Hi there, my name is David, and my Macbook Pro is keeping me up at night.
I've been doing a ton of searching, looking for a solution for the problems, but neither of them have solid fixes.
It is a 17-inch, Mid 2009 model running Yosemite 10.10.3. It wakes up when I put it in sleep mode and restarts when I try and shut it down.
I've tried every method I could find regarding the sleep mode
resetting VRAM
resetting SMC
checking Energy Saver option
Turning off bluetooth
turning off wifi
changing settings in Terminal
unplugging charger cable
Checking startup programs
Verify/Repair permissions
The wake reason is "?"
In regards to the shutdown/restart, I did a clean install of OS Yosemite.... still having the issues.
Is this an issue with the hardware or the software?
I would really appreciate any help!
Thank you!
