detecting bluetooth device

my mac won't recognise my trackpad. strange thing is that it used to..i had removed it but when i re installed it couldn't be discovered

Hello and welcome to the forum! :) First, I'm assuming that your trackpad is not wired to your computer and is using Bluetooth - correct? If so and if you have not used the device in a while, have you tried a fresh set of batteries? Dave
