Cmd+Shift+3 will do the full screen.

Cmd+Shift+4 will give you an arrow head that you can drag to choose what you capture.

Cmd+Shift+4 and then once you see the arrow head, press space and tselect what app you want to print screen. Once it's highlited, click on the trackpad. that will capture the contents of any 1 single app. You can turn off the shadow of the ap wndow by holding Option, while clicking.
