Here is another problem I don't no how to go forward on. on my IMAC in the safari screen. I go to upper right of the screen to the magnifying glass icon. I chick on it and spotlight opens up / I then type in download folder. when I do that about 6 or7 downloads are listed under each other. My question is as I scroll down on these I come across a couple that have a Red dot and a minus sign in it ,one of them being -- download (original) when I click on it I get This----You do not have permission to open the document “Downloads (original)”. can you tell me how to reset this so I have permission Thanks Bob

What Mac and what operating system Bob?

On recent operating systems, thw Download Folder is located in the Finder. Click on Finder (dark and light blue faces) in the Dock and the Download folder is there.

Find it in Finder, drag it to the right side of the Dock. No more looking.
Not the one in Favorites, the actual folder from Home.
