My wife has a Mac Pro she bought in 2009. I believe it has either a quad or dual quad processor and 20 gb of ram (I upraded the ram with 16 GB more a while back). When she got the computer it ran so much faster than her older G5. Now it seems slower. I'm a PC guy and no next to nothing about Macs. Her biggest issue is Photoshop CS4 keeps crashing. Where would I start the troubleshooting?

Well first up what memory and did it come from a Mac specialist supplier such as Crucial or OWC? Very fussy about the correct low density modules. Next question what operating system? If OS X.7 Lion or later, go into recovery mode and run Repair Disk and see what is reported.
