• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

I am using iMovie 10.0.7 and am having a problem. When I add a Title to the project everything is fine until I try and add a line or two of text to the existing text. The existing text is locked into the format that the different Titles have and they can't be changed. This is a real pain in the neck since I normally modify the Titles to suit my own "Intro" and exit pages. My previous version (which I still have on the Mac) does this procedure just fine. It is iMovie '09 ver. 8.0.6.

If any of this made sense I would be appreciative of any suggestions.

Tnx, John

Hi

I'm not familiar with iMovie 09, but the general view seems to be that the Titles are a bit restrictive for the reason that you state.

Thus the only choice seems to be that you create your own in an image manipulating bit of software of your own choosing. That way you can have any font style that you desire.

Some Titles can be edited, some can't. I use Keynote to create custom Titles, and then export as a Quicktime movie and import that into my iMovie Project.
