Any app for controlling volume with mouse wheel?

Had a brilliant thought (I thought so anyway!)…is there any way to adjust the volume with the mouse wheel? I found some really old apps that looked promising but didn't work on Mountain Lion (yes, I need to upgrade…)

It is a long time since Apple Mouse had a wheel.

Maybe, but there are other mouse designs on the market besides Apple (even the Magic Mouse had an equivalent function).

Click "Show volume in the menubar". Click on the little speaker, scroll up or down. Simple. Been there for years.

Didn't know I could roll the mouse to adjust that…no wonder nothing else is out there
