Syncing OS 10.6 with 10.10

Am I supposed to be able to sync Calendar, Contacts, etc between these to OS10 and iOS 8?

Not normally and if you listen to and read what Apple says!! ;P

But there were various and usually workarounds if not hacks you can check into and read about, if they even still work with some searches like this:
