Mail attachments in body of e-mail

OS 10.9.5 Mail attachments are added in the body of the e-mail rather than as seperate attachments. Help!

That depends on how the sender includes the attachment not you (assuming you're referring to received mail).

It's just a view. Right click on the attachment in your email, select view as icon. You can't control what happens on the receiving end, it's up to how the receiver has their email set.
