Getting data off macbook air HDD after waterdamage?

Can you get data off a waterdamaged macbook AIR? My 500gb harddrive has all my work on it :( any chance of getting it off ? any help would be greatly appreciated. I couldn't care less about the laptop itself.

15" MBP '06 2.33 C2D 4GB 10.7; 13" MBA '14 1.8 i7 8GB 10.11; 21" iMac '13 2.9 i5 8GB 10.11; 6S
The MacBook Air (MBA) does not have a hard drive, it has a SSD.

If the MBA is not bootable at all, and assuming the SSD is still ok, you will need to remove the SSD and put it into an external enclosure.
The SSDs are proprietary and have changed in shape layout from model to model.
Head for OWC - you will want their 'Envoy' enclosure.
You will need to know which model MBA you have in order to get the correct enclosure.

Here are 2 of them - 2010 MBA - 2013 MBA.

Looks like i will have to make a purchase very soon as i need the data pretty quickly.
