Disappearing Yosemite windows

Since installing Yosemite on my MacBook Pro inactive windows disappear from display after about 2 1/2 minutes, especially but not only Safari. Is this a hidden "unclutter" feature? How do I rectify this?

That fixed it!

Thanks, cradom, that eliminated the problem. I have watched it for a few days and the irritating disappearing act has stopped.
