I'm in a bit of a tough spot deciding between these two in order to replace my dying Mac Pro from 2008. I'm a graphic designer that works in InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. I occasionally edit video (but not crazy UHD stuff). I also use xCode to compile a couple times a week.
My brain tells me to go for higher specs and overall a better bang for the buck. However the superficial part of me tells me to grab that base retina just for the display.
Your thoughts please. Thanks in advance!
