Charger doesnt fit - correct size?

Hi

I was wondering if someone could help.

I recently ordered a charger for my macbook pro retina 13.3" but it doesnt fit. The length of it is too short to plug in to the fitting on the side of macbook.

Does anyone know what one I have to get? if so a link to amazon or ebay would be great

Sounds like you may have purchased the incorrect charger. There are mag-safe 1 and mag-safe 2 chargers. I think that Apple used to sell an adapter…but I also read recently that Apple was going to discontinue selling the adapter.

So I would say try returning the charger you purchased…and purchase the other mag-safe model. Or try to find the mag-safe adapter.

I just looked on the adapter and it has 45W MAG SAFE (MODEL: A1244)
Whats the other one?

If you're asking for numbers…I don't have the numbers memorized. Go to Apple.com & check things out.

Agree w/ Nick - looks like you bought the charger for the Macbook Air - see Amazon's description of the model number given below.

I have a rMBPro 13" (early 2013 model) which came w/ a 60W MagSafe 2 Power adapter - model stated is A1435 - so, check the Apple site for the proper charger or visit Amazon HERE - Dave

Send it back to Apple ~ unless you have purchased elsewhere which is not too wise alas.
