I'am trying to get a used logic board for my macbook, and wanted to make sure I get the right one. The question is when did apple start using logic boards without the inverter? My late 2008 unibody does not have a inverter, but in order to buy one I want to make sure I get the right one, what do I need to look for on the new logic board?
Thanks!

I can't tell you when they abandoned the inverter on the MacBook models, but I do know that the early and mid (non unibody) MacBooks still used an inverter for powering the backlight. You would need to check with www.ifixit.com to find out which logic board you need for your late 2008 unibody MacBook.
