My logicboard on my ibook failed, so I put the hard drive into an external enclosure and bought a macbook pro. How do I go about erasing the harddrive in the external enclosure to use as just a normal file storage drive that both PC and mac can read? What is the easiest way to do this?

Thanks!

Yeah just hook it up, open disk utility and erase it using the 'MS-DOS' partition scheme.

Your drive will be able to be read by both windows & os x then.
