Hi, everyone, for some reason I am finding it differcult to map network drives so they auto remap on login, like you can on the PC.

Am I missing something simple?

I prefer to not automount network drives in OS X. Instead, when I mount them I make an alias of the mount from /Volumes folder and put it in a folder I call ~/Network Mounts and then put that folder in the dock. Accessing the alias will mount the drive when needed and will keep boot times speedy.

I would also like to know a way to auto connect at startup, is this possible?

Like I said,..it's not necessary but,...

put the alias of a mounted drive in the /Library/StartupItems folder
