This window keeps popping up. Only option is to click OK to proceed. Is this virus/malware bad /effective on Mac OSX?

I'm assuming this is occurring w/i your browser, e.g. Safari - see below for a list of suggestions to rid yourself of these annoyances (compiled from many recommendations from members here) - let us know if any of these items help. Dave

Ransomware Removal

Force quit Safari.
Turn off your Wi-Fi or disconnect the ethernet cable.
Reopen Safari and close the offending tab(s).
Clear ‘History & Data’ in the Safari menu.
Reconnect to internet, i.e. Wi-Fi or ethernet cable.
Add ‘extensions’: AdBlock & Ghostery.
Use AdwareMedic for malware removal.
Visit The Safe Mac.

Not a virus. Not even malware. Just adware. Follow Tom's instructions.
