I lose track of time easily!

I know that I can set my MBP to say the time every quarter hour, which I like. What I would also like, but cannot find, is an app that would briefly display the time, preferably in the middle of my screen, for 2-3 seconds, every quarter hour, or every ten seconds, or at some set interval.

Is there such a thing?

To be clear, it's not a countdown timer or permanently displayed clock I want.

Many thanks

Isn't glancing (as necessary) at the time in the upper-right corner of the menu bar easy enough?

Maybe you can explain if there's a special purpose/need for such an app?:)

It should be, shouldn't it? But I get so engrossed in my work, or more often some diversion from my work, it would be good to have something leap up and remind me of the time. The voice reminders are good for that, but less so in a library where one is expected to be quiet.

Anyway, if there is such an app, great; if not, I'll survive!
