How to get rid off this message - Ajaxserver?

Hi guys,

For the last month everytime I turn on my MacBook Pro I see this message.

Searched on the net and apparently it is because before I downloaded Hotspotshield.
I deleted it a long time ago using AppCleaner but this message still pops up.

Could you please help me to get rid off it?

AppCleaner evidently left part of it behind. It might be possible to track it down manually (since reinstalling it and uninstalling it will have no effect since it's a simple "drag to the trash" type uninstall) but in the meantime, take a look at System Preferences > Users & Groups > your user > Login Items. Apparently, HSS loads a few things at runtime which might still be listed in there.

I checked Login items but did not find anything related to Hotspot shield.

The only thing I don't know there is Wondershare Helper Compact.

Found some traces in Library -- Launch Daemons file.

Shall I simply delete ajaxserver file and move it to trash?

I deleted that file and all is fixed now.

Hi,
I'm unable to find that ajaxserver file - can you specify its name and location?
I'm running Yosemite 10.10.5 and there's only a LaunchAgents folder, but it's blank.

Apple now "hides" the library files, and directories. To get to the launchdaemons directory I:

1. Opened Finder
2. Pressed the the option key
3. selected go to folder from the GO menu
4. keyed Library/Launchdaemons and pressed enter

The list that appears has a line on it with ajaxserver. I deleted that line and rebooted. No more message. Hope this helps.

You can also use the Find Any File.app to locate such buried files/folders and it can also provide direct access or even delete right from the found items window.

Out of curiosity, does Find Any File work to find hidden files like in the hidden user library and then able to delete them? My user library is visible all the time so I can't test it.

AFAIK it does, but if needed, I would think one could always use its option key search option to give user root permissions if needed.

Just hold the option key when doing a search to implement the option, or use the control/right-click to "show in Finder. But who knows what Apple might change to prevent any user's use…??? I'm still just using OS X 10.9.5 as the latest for my use…

Turn off Ajaxserver notification aft installation of Apple App Hotspot Shield

Click on the Gears icon, top left of Shield
Click on Settings> uncheck "unsafe WiFi Notifications"

Notification will no longer show on bootup

It's OK thanks MTKrugers, they found a solution a while back it seems, but good to know I guess for those that might use or need it.
