It kinda sucks that I cant use my old remote on my new video. Does anyone know why they did away with that? I was going to get the logitech bluetooth headphones, but I think I need that little port.

I think because there wasn't enough room for that port on the nano, they got rid of it across the whole line. That way accessory manufacturers only have to redesign accessories to support the dock connector.

The Shuffle did not have it, to save space and because many of the items that need that plug, also need a screen. The Nano, apple got rid of anything to save space. And the 5G , well it seemed dumb to have it only on one iPod line

Is there a remote that uses the bottom port then?
