Help!
So I have my photos (100,000) on my external drive from my old Mac and when I got my new Mac I just kept them there & had that as my designated iPhoto drive.
I bought this Mac to manage my photos and it has a big HD to manage the quantity.

SO how do I move them & change the recognized iPhoto drive?

Also how to keep JUST the photos backed up on the external drive, outside of my usual time mating backups?

Thank you, thank you for any help!

Assuming you have the photos on the external drive in an iPhoto Library file, just drag and drop that into the Pictures Folder on your Mac. Then start iPhoto while holding down the Alt key and choose the iPhoto Library file on your Mac. iPhoto should then use that file from then on.
