How to map network drives on Mac Book Pro running Yosemite version 10.10.1

I am interested in setting up a mapped drive on a Mac Book Pro and i also want to connect a network printer

2023-14" M3max MBPro, 64GB/1TB, iPhone 15 Pro, Watch Ultra
Not hard to do but I need some more information. Is the mapped drive on a server or just two computers? What is the printer you want to attach to - make and model?

Ok so you basically connect to the servers ip address but there is a little problem. The laptop is in US and the server is in Canada. So i installed the vpn client that we use on the HP machines and the vpn client is working but its not allowing me to connect to that ip address of the server.


Should this laptop be configured while on the Canadian domain
