Transfer itunes purchase from MBA to iMac

Last night I purchased and downloaded a film using my MBA.

I'd like to have this new film along with all my others on my iMac. How do I go about transfering my purchased film between these 2 devices?

If they were bought on iTunes, just log into the same account on the iMac and re-download them from your purchases history.

I knew there was a simple way to do it but my addled brain couldn't work it out!

Just tried to do this.

Signed into my apple ID used to purchase the film, but on my iMac it's saying that all purchases have been downloaded. I can see the movie in my purchase history. An album I bought at the same time is on both devices.

I've also got auto downloading turned on but it's only downloaded the movie to my MBA.

worked it out now - sorry!

If you have home sharing turned on in iTunes on both machines, you can transfer everything between computers without having to download again also.

Good point. Not only simple but without the bandwidth hit and wasted time of double downloads.
