Launchpad shows ? symbols on icons

I am moving all from my iMac 2009 to a new iMac. The Launchapd is not working and shows icons with a ? symbol. What to do?

Need a lot more information. What version of OS X are you running on the 2009 iMac. What year is the new iMac and what version of OS X is on it? How are you moving your apps to the new iMac? Are you using Migration Assistant?
