I recently purchased a new MacBook Pro and was wondering what software I should download in order to prevent my computer for being overtaken with spyware and pop-ups. Also I chose not to spend the extra $150 for the ilife suite and figured that i could get it for free somewhere. Is that possible? Well thanks and again i apologize for my ignorance.

well, spyware for the most part isn't a problem for macs. And pop ups can be blocked by safari, just go to safari, and select block pop ups in the menu. You already have ilife on your new computer, as it comes installed on all nwe macs
