Thinking about getting a mid 2011 MacBook Air, is this ok?

I'm on a tight budget, and I'm looking for something to stream HD videos (plex, chromecast, youtube, netflix) and browse the web. I know a guy locally who's wanting to sell me the 2011 MacBook Air for $400. The only drawback I see is that it only has 2gb ram. Will that be a problem if I'm only using it for the above hobbies.

Thanks in advance!

That 2 GB of ram is probably going to mean that it does not perform as well as you might like. The last few incarnations have set 2 GB as the minimum just to get the OS up and running.

In 2015 personally I wouldn't purchase any computer that would be my "main" computer…with less than 4gig of ram. This MacBook Air has non-upgradeable ram…so with only 2gig of ram…I wouldn't get it.

Thanks for the responses. I decided to purchase a late 2012 model mac mini instead. It is running Yosemite smooth as butter. I liked the 2012 model because I have the ability to upgrade the RAM in the future.
