Hummm!

I have a 2yr old MacBookPro, plus mouse.

Fresh batteries.

I am only getting a two-dash green light, where it should be "on" constantly.

In System, under mouse, it's now saying there is no mouse connected.

i've closed the MBP down, changed batteries, spoken gently and offered cheese, but no joy.

Any thoughts?

Saying no mouse connected, I assume that is via Bluetooth? Under Bluetooth in System Preferences is Bluetooth turned on and what does it say regarding the mouse? Connected or not connected?

If you opt to show Bluetooth in the Menu Bar, click on it and if necessary. Between you and I a lift under the ear might be far more successful than cheese!

OK.

I found Bluetooth connections under System / Network /

Then I have a Bluetooth PAN 1 and a second one in the list, Bluetooth PAN 2, both saying Not Connected"

When I click on the first of these, it's saying that the Apple Magic Mouse is not connected and that Bluetooth on / off is "off" with the "on" greyed out.

I put down 3x bait trays a week ago to kill his / her mates - do you think that's the real issue here?
