I apparently have locks files or something in my trash folder as even when holding down the option keep and right-clicking on Empty Trash returns a -22 error code. I found a post that recommended Trash-It 4.1, but OX 10.10.2 (Yosemite) on mu 2014 iMac will not load it, even with permissions for developers granted. This is my first Mac since the early 90's so I have no real recent experience with Finder work-arounds. Any assistance that could be afforded me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

How many of these files do you have?

- If not too many…you can do a right-click and get info on each to see if they are locked.
- Also…do you have all of your apps closed/quit when you do the empty trash? Sometimes if it's a file that an app is currently using…it cannot be deleted/trashed.
- Finally. If it's an OS related file…it may not be deletable.
