When I receive an email attachment from one particular sender who I believe has a PC, the attachment is labeled "winmail.dat". When I open the attachment, it comes up undecipherable. Any suggestions on how I can open it into a word document?
You need to tell your correspondent to attach files in a different format so that they can be read. What kind of files are being attached?
You can't read winmail.dat files with Word, you need a special viewer which you can download from the App Store. Here's a link to one. But the best resolution rather than using a viewer is for the files to be sent using a different format.
