Hi all,
i need an urgent advice on my new imac. I have to choose between these two models, one of 2012 and one of 2013:

iMac 21.5 with i5 2,9 Ghz, Nvidia 650M (512 mb of dedicated vram) and 16 GB of RAM (LATE 2012)

iMac 21.5 with i5 2,7 Ghz, Intel Iris Pro (1 gb of shared vram) and 8 GB of RAM (LATE 2013)

I will buy an external SSD with iMac. So please help me choosing the right model for me. I use my imac as website developer, some music producer and intensive web navigation.

The 2012 model is the one I would get. Keep in mind that neither the 2012 nor the 2013 models you quoted are user upgradeable with regard to memory or graphics. The 2012 model has better graphics and more memory. An easy choice.

I chose the 2012 model...because as you said have better gpu and more memory, but also a powerful cpu since is 2,9 vs 2,7.
And the new i5 2,7 is just better in energy saving, but since i don't care about this, it's just the best choice.
Thanks for your advice!
