I have a 1.8ghz powermac non-intel. I formatted a 120GB SSD and cloned the operating system that was on my old Harddrive with copy cloner. It’s 10.5.8. The powermac does not accept the clone as a main drive. It will accept it as a secondary. Any idea why. I was told to go with a 3G SSD. The SSD is a Kingston SV300S3B7A

Suggest you format the SSD and do a clean install as often copying a platter drive may cause problems. Is the SSD in the top position in your G5? If not place it there and the platter drive, which I assume you will use for backups, in the lower position.

After you have used your Leopard DVD for the new format and clean install, use Migration Assistant to copy thin gs over.
