I have a 3rd Generation iPod from about 2003.
I used to sync it with a Fire Wire connector to my old Windows PC but on the Mac I don't have Fire Wire connection. I have tried a cable from a later iPod USB/ipod connector which connects up to iTunes and recognises the iPod. Only problem is that when I sync with a list of files I want on my iPod nothing transfers.
Could this be an issue with the cable even though my Mac recognises the iPod?
