I recently ran an adobe CC update.

Following this a number of new items have appeared in Finder (screen shot attached). I also got a folder on my desktop called .DS_Store which I cannot drag to trash. It just keeeps reappearing on my desktop.

I ran the same update on my macbook with no problems.

Any suggestions anyone?

Those are "normally hidden" files. (that you don't want to delete)
Maybe the updater didn't complete normally?

You can manually return hidden files to hidden, using this command in the Terminal Utility:
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles NO

Thanks

I have dragged them to trash and found a terminan command to get rid of the DS_Store folder

I'll drag them back to Finder and run the terminal command you suggest

You'll be getting that DS_Store folder back since those are the folders where OS X stores layout information and preferences for each folder. There's no point getting rid of them.
