It's very possible that the manufacturer of this product dropped support for it at some point after OS 10.7.5. Upgrading from 10.7.5 to 10.10 (Yosemite) is a pretty sizeable three version OS "jump". And when this is done...some software and/or hardware incompatibilities are very likely to occur.
