I use "on my mac" calendar but I can't sync it to my iPad/iphone. Any way? Doesn't do it thru iCloud. I have Yosemite and iPad mini

We need a lot more detail. What version of iOS are you using? Have you setup iCloud on both devices? Are they both set to sync calendar?
The first place to start would be to ensure that calendar sync is turned on for both. It simply sounds lile one device isn't syncing calendars.
