installation cd question

Hi,
i recently purchased a 17 inch powerbook. Since I own G4 tower I was wodering if it is safe to update the towers OS system using the Powerbook's install cd?

any input would be greatly appreciated.

Install media is designed for the system it is shipped with. It would also be against the EULA and illegal to do so, if you use it on another system. If you would like to upgrade another computer you would have to purchase a retail copy of the OS.

In most cases it will not work...I've tried it (albeit on accident). When I try to boot my G5 from my Powerbook restore disc, it kernel panics. When I try to boot my Powerbook from my G5 disc, it ignores me.
