Data recovery

although i deleted 150 gig today: its two folders i emptied from trash last week that i wish to retrieve, they were on ext drives.
software suggestions would be greatly appreciated , they were mainly raw files...

Lots more info needed, and more consistent info: you both deleted this stuff today and last week?

How many backups do you have of the drives from which the files are now deleted, and what methods did you use to back them up?

I trust you are no longer using those drives for ANYTHING until this is resolved ...

Only way to recover that data is from backups.
All other attempts ( tools ) are best effort .
You could let the pro's handle this and they can attempt to recover your data, but that will set you back a few thousand dollars.
Life is actually very simple .... if you store digital data, you need backups.
Failing backups = double trouble.
