Delete Now app to delete without going to Trash - some problem

Hi,

I've been using the Delete Now app for a long time and love the convenience it brings. But I recently noticed that after I used it to delete files (total of 17Gb in this case), my iStat and also the result in Grand Perspective did not show any change for the free space of the hard drive (even after a reboot), BUT the Get Info of the hard drive DID show the change.

How can I fix this? Any other apps/methods you prefer otherwise for this same purpose?

Thanks, I tried reboot after reading your reply but to no vail. (I updated the OP to include this info too (did I use OP right? )
