Hi. I have a macbook that I bought in june 2010. The case broke a little and left the charger port slightly exposed. I think that this caused the charger port to break and now the computer won't charge. I see on the internet that they sell charger ports but I don't know if it's an easy fix. Can anyone help me out?

Hello and welcome to the forum! :) Might help to give us more information about your laptop, e.g. Pro or Air, model, year? For starters, go to iFixit and look for a guide for your specific machine and problem to get a feel about the steps and difficulty in replacing your charging port - come back to this thread if you have further questions.

Now you're also 'out of warranty' and Apple may not even want to look at one of their older laptops - so you might want to search out a local authorized Apple repair shop for an estimation if you do not want to 'tackle' the replacement. Dave
