On both my iPad and iPhone I received the following messages after I run an upgrade for the IOS :

iTunes could not connect to this iPad. The session ID is missing.

Cab anyone explain what this means and should I be concerned,

I'm not sure what the message means, but have you tried:

1. Restarting your Mac
2. Restarting (not just putting to sleep) the iOS devices
3. Connecting the devices wirelessly to iTunes on your Mac

And what upgrade did you do? I just got notified iOS 8.1.2 is ready to be installed. It seems this update deals with ringtones purchases through iTunes. This could be why you are getting the message. I am only getting the upgrade message on my iPhone 6+ and nothing on my iPad yet. I will wait to upgrade. I am waiting to see what everyone else post first.

I got this message on each of the last two ios upgrades.

I clicked on continue (or was it close) and everything went on as if nothing happen. Just don't like to get messages I don't understand.
